Kinda-Leather Pants
Hi there!
A huge trend that we will all be seeing this season are leather pants. I don't know about you, but leather pants make too big of a statement, for me, to use for school and for outside of school. I found a great, budget friendly, alternative that I absolutely love!....

These are from Old Navy, one of my favorite stores that does not break the bank! I have this pair and they are fantastic for us, teenage girls, on school days. They have a coating of some sort on then that makes them have a sheen and look super cool! The best part is that they can be styled in very chic ways for the perfect night out. They work with boots and flats, as well as sandals when it gets warmer. I love them so, because we can wear them for both extremes, casual school days, and party nights on the weekends!
If you are still looking for a true leather pant here is a great selection:

Review: Oversized Clutches
Hi there!
Lately oversized clutches have been popular in stores and I personally have never owned one, (although I'd like too!) and wanted to supply my readers with a view on outfit and clutch inspiration so they could get in on the trend too!

Pair up a colorful outfit with a playful purse.
This cheetah print, fold over is adorable and extremely classy. Don't forget about timeless!
(right) Oversized clutches can be transition pieces; from work day to night!
(left) This one gives a little vibe of punk, but can be ultimately paired with anything.
Don't forget classic prints never go out of style and this herringbone print is very chic!

How to Wear a Sweater over a Skirt or Dress
Hi there!
Skirts are not the first things I would wear during these cold months, but under a big, chunky sweater, it creates the cutest and laid-back look! I was hesitant about this style at first, therefore I was selective about how I wrote this post and would wear this look on my own.
Do:
-thin sweater that can be knotted
-chunky cropped sweaters
-floral, or any printed skirts
-match a solid with a print
-keep shoes solid colored and very minimal
-keep a slightly tighter fit on top, if the skirt is very full
Don't:
-mix prints
-wear all one color
-wear a hi-low sweater because it will create an unflattering silhouette

Fall makeup
Hi there!
Around school there are a lot of girls who wear makeup in a tasteful way and I have gotten some inspiration for the perfect fall face!
Here are some trends to give you an idea:
-gold/brown
Eyes:
1. Apply a gold shimmery eyeshadow to the lid in a light covering
2. Use a white-ish eyeshadow and add about a dot to the inner corner of the lid as a highlighter that will make your eyes stand out
3. Apply a very thin black eyeliner to the bottom water line
4. Use an eyelash curler with 2-3 pumps on each eye and put on either a black, brown, or plum mascara (like "Are they fake?" from Benefit, which I am in love with) to the top lashes, from root to tip
Skin
1. Apply foundation and concealer where needed
2. Take a orangey pink blush and dust it on the contours of your face to achieve a natural glow
Lips
1. Exfoliating your lips can be important during the fall and winter, as the air gets dry, so exfoliate with homemade exfoliators like salt and Chapstick
2. Apply a darker pink lipstick that is close to natural lip colors
3. Use an everyday lipgloss to maintain a shiny look

Currently Craving- Topknots
Hi there!
I've been gone for a while, getting back into the rythem with school and dance, etc. and haven't found the time to blog...hopefully this will change!!
This week I have been wanting to make the perfect topknot. Because of ballet, I am an expert (??) at doing a ballet bun, and so I thought a topknot would come easy to me...It didn't due to the lack of bobby pins and hair nets that you can not use in those slick buns.
I have loads of hair and I'm still trying to perfect mine so that it does not look like a messy, frizzy blob aha! Have you gotten yours down? Any tips?
Now in the fall we will be seeing much of these high buns and they are becoming my favorite!...here's some inspiration and multiple ways to try the "do":

Homecoming!-Dresses
Hi there!
Although my school does not really celebrate homecoming, I wish it did! I have ideas for the perfect homecoming dresses.
First, try to find out if there is a theme to the party. If so, it might be, all-white, masquerade, 80's themed, or anything in between, so that you hint the theme in your preparations.
Second, homecoming is not as dressy as prom, so do not pull out your really formal dresses! This is a time to be comfortable, but to look dressed up...like at a Sweet Sixteen!

Tips for Travellers! -Oyster.com
Hi there!
I found a great website called Oyster.com! This is not your average travel website because it has some features that most others do not. It's popularity came from something called "Photo Fakeouts." This is when a travel agency, or hotel have brochure or website pictures that do not exactly look the same...Here take a look!
On the right are the hotel website's but as you can see, the calming scene of the empty beach and the city atmosphere of the pool is not what it actually is.

Some terrible tricks that really do make you believe it's better than what it really is! My tip:
Go on google, type in your hotel or attraction to see multiple views of the same thing. This way traveller's pictures and hotel's will pop up and the truth will be revealed!

First day of school!
Hi there!
Today I started my junior year and thought I would share what I wore for the first day!
I decided to wear pink high waisted shorts (Forever 21), a basic black tank, and a white boyfriend cardi (Old Navy). Pretty simplistic outfit, but I just wanted to be comfortable for a long day ahead while still looking dressed up!
I kept my hair down and had it cut yesterday, so that it would look fresh, clean, and curl a bit at the ends!
The shoes I wore were these simple, neutral snake skin print flip flops so that I could be comfortable to walk around a lot.
As for jewelry I wore my two Pandora rings that I wear everyday. (P.S. My nail polish is "Who's the Boss" by Essie.)
I also wore some thin arm candy! Here I have a brazilian wish bracelet (can't take off), a Marc Jacob, Jcrew, and two David Yerman bracelets.
Hope your first day went as good as mine!
