I never thought it would be hard to blog during summer, but this season has proved me wrong! From traveling, reading, movie watching, and hanging out with friends and family, I have been a bit absent  but do want to announce so additions! I am excited to first introduce my new instagram soley dedicated to the blog so that I could share moments of my everyday life in an instantaneous way! Friday Favorites!

Hi everyone!
I have not shared my favorite things of the week in a while, but this week I have definitely compiled some great things to share today! This week was my spring break and although I did not have the chance to vacation anywhere, I did make it to Boston and Rhode Island for enjoyable day trips (more like college visits!) Anyways, with prom, AP testing, applying for academic societies, and hanging out with friends on the agenda, I have had a busy week. How has your's been? Hope it was good and hopefully these next few favorites will only add to it's "goodness!"

Favorite look: This to-die-for set is from Aje and photo is from this wonderful blogger's instagram. I would love to own this garment, with it's neutral tone, tad of embellishment, and perfect amount of rugged fray to balance the look.

Favorite prom makeup inspiration: I've listed Lily Collins as one of my fashion icons, and now I believe she is turning into one of my beauty icons as well! I am going to try to recreate her makeup for my prom. (Photo from Teen Vogue)

Favorite viral video: Taylor Swift's latest adorable video diary! She recently surprised one of her most loyal fans by going to her bridal shower - so sweet!

Favorite band at the moment: The works of 5SOS (5 Seconds of Summer), especially this song, "Heartache on the Big Screen" has been on replay this week with their dancey, boy band, Australian vibes.

Favorite creative moment I had this week: I took an old scarf and made it into a strapless top with an elastic band at the top and a slit in the back! I can't wait to wear it with white pants in tropical weather!

My Week in Instagrams

Hi everyone! 

Since my week was mainly spent being sick and out of school (meaning doing absolutely nothing and resting) I thought I would recap the last two weeks instead of only one in a "Weekly Instagram." I was inspired these two past weeks to look at the brighter side of things, from being overloaded with tests to becoming sick. Overall, they were good, busy weeks filled with brand-new clothes, never ending school work, and spunky friends, that truly flew by.

1. Prom's coming up! Eeep! While the whole process should solely be fun, it has surprisingly been a wee-bit stressful. (P.S. This is not the dress I went with....that will be coming up soon!)

2. I'm enrolled in a very creative photography class at school and one of my first film prints was this one of all my shoes and my two feet in the middle of them.

3. I had not done a poster project in the longest time, as most school projects have advanced to digital powerpoints and such. Good to get back to the roots!

4. Because I am in need of some new wall art for my room, I decided what's better than DIY art, especially of fashion or design, so the "CHIC"art is in the making.

5. What beautifully vivid weather the beginning of spring has brought! 

6. Here's a snap of myself (left) and one of my bestest friends at a birthday dinner. I really liked my outfit so I may be doing an OOTD coming up soon of it.

7. My (looks mini, but not!) messy, top knot!

8. I need this bag! I just need it. What a perfect beach or park bag!

9. Finally, this was a portion of an outfit that I wore to school one day and the first of the wear where I wore open toed shoes! Ah love warm weather and this outfit as a whole too!

Week in Instagrams

Hi there! 

I must apologize for not blogging often! (I've been quite busy with exams...) But...to give you a little look into what's been going on, here are my instagrams of the week so far!

1. Here in the North, loads of snow has come down in the past two days!
2. I am currently working on things for my Etsy :), like this headband, which will be up and running   soon.
3. I received this jewelry organizer, after my jewelry collection exploded on my TV stand, for Christmas and I am finally putting it up!
4. Flash cards! The epitome of studying for midterms.
5. I am editing a quick little makeup video, which will be posted in a week!
6. I found this sketch I did over Holiday Break and it reminded me that I want to draw more. Very fun!
7. Harry Styles..."MCM" definitely my favorite, as I am a directioner...Shhhh...
8. My yard at sunset today absolutely drowning in snow!
9. Saw that my mom wrapped a chic little scarf on the handle of her Dooney and Burke and I loved the idea!

Tips for Travellers! -Oyster.com

Hi there!
I found a great website called Oyster.com! This is not your average travel website because it has some features that most others do not. It's popularity came from something called "Photo Fakeouts." This is when a travel agency, or hotel have brochure or website pictures that do not exactly look the same...Here take a look!

On the right are the hotel website's but as you can see, the calming scene of the empty beach and the city atmosphere of the pool is not what it actually is.

Some terrible tricks that really do make you believe it's better than what it really is! My tip:

Go on google, type in your hotel or attraction to see multiple views of the same thing. This way traveller's pictures and hotel's will pop up and the truth will be revealed!

General Packing Guide

Hi there!

Packing is a travel "art" and it will take a while to complete packing in the most efficient way.

I, first, check the weather of my destination. This will, obviously, allow you to get an idea of how comfortable you will be in your outfits.

Then I make a list...

After that I combine my clothes into possible outfits and put them into the most efficient, organized way.
1. Roll jeans and other pants, folding them lengthwise from the cuffs (makes them less wrinkly)
2. Neatly stack folded sweaters, then folded shirts on top, and shorts can be be folded in half to be placed on that.
3. Put shoes in shoe bags and place them in the bottom of the suitcase like closer to the wheels
4. Bathing suits, jewelry cases, toiletries, and other accessories should be squeezed between everything else, or on the top pockets of the suitcase
5. Blouses should be laid on the very top of everything else, not folded, so they won't wrinkle.

Friday Favorites

Hi there! Here are this week's Friday Favorites:

Favorite Quote: I love this quote because it is so true and the picture looks beautiful and serene. 

Favorite Maxi Skirt: Turquoise has been a favorite of mine since last summer and this maxi skirt with the mini skirt underneath lets the skirt look a little more casual...at least I think so! I also love the way it is paired up with a deep black crocheted blouse which makes the outfit so elegant.

Favorite Jewelry: I could not believe these bracelets were just $16! Monday Motivation: Baking!

Hi there!
Waking up on Monday mornings is pretty tough, especially when you have school like me! Last night, at around 8, I decided I'll bake some cookies. I absolutely LOVE to bake and one of the recipes I have used for about 3 years now is Martha Stewart's Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe:

The cookies turn out HEAVENLY and they stay soft for a while! Although it was not my intention, these cookies have been a sweet motivation for today. I just came home from school and took a small bite of one so I can save it for after I finish (tiring) homework as a little reward:).

Secret: Sometimes I put the cookie I want to eat in the microwave for about 5-10 seconds so the chocolate chips re-melt and the cookie becomes warm and it tastes like they came straight out of the oven!
