Friday Favorites

Hi there! Here are this week's Friday Favorites:

Favorite Quote: I love this quote because it is so true and the picture looks beautiful and serene. 

Favorite Maxi Skirt: Turquoise has been a favorite of mine since last summer and this maxi skirt with the mini skirt underneath lets the skirt look a little more casual...at least I think so! I also love the way it is paired up with a deep black crocheted blouse which makes the outfit so elegant.

Favorite Jewelry: I could not believe these bracelets were just $16! The jewels and color scheme allow it to go with any outfit and will work with gold and silver jewelry (if you just like to stick to one at a time!) Favorite Makeup: This gorgeous makeup is very natural, but also makes the model's face glow! Her hair style with the trendy flower head band is so light and spring-y!

Favorite City: New York City! The trees are bright green and the grass is so lush after all this rain..it's beautiful. If you have not visited this city, make sure you go, soon!

My Dream Destination

Hi there!
Ever since I was really little, I have dreamed to going to Paris, France...Land of Elegance!
Who's been there?? I am waiting for the day where I can hop on a plane and be in my dream destination. Hopefully, one day I could open a little boutique and live there for a year or two in an apartment with cute view! (I dream BIG)

Emergency Kit for Parties

Hi there!
This weekend I attended a Sweet 16 that I thought I was prepared for....but wasn't! I love to make lists and visualize my outfits so that I feel like everything will go smoothly. Unfortunately at this party I learned my lesson:

1. My wedges were BRAND new and I had never walked in them before. This is soooo unlike me but I just had no time! Once I got to the party I was fine and everything, but then after dancing my feet started to kill! I almost never take my shoes off but I had reached my breaking point and learned:
Always always always bring a pair of comfortable roll up or lightweight flats! You will thank yourself when you start to feel you're getting blisters ugh!

2. When I tried my dress on at the store I loved it and it fit perfectly...but once i started dancing and wore my strapless undergarment, (which I was not wearing at the store) I realized I had to pull it up every two seconds. I wish i had brought some pins or double sided tape so I could have taken my sweater. At least I learned:
Try on your outfit EXACTLY how you will wear it. You don't need to then predict how you will feel at the party and of course you want to feel comfortable!

3. Dancing calls for sweat. EW. As soon as the whole floor was covered with people, I felt a workout and perspiration coming with it! I learned:
Bring a small toilette and extra deodorant that way you can wash your forehead and reapply deodorant so you can feel nice, fresh, and self confident!

Well, here is my ideal party emergency kit:
-safety pins
-double sided tape
-water bottle
-little snack
-toilette
-deodorant
-hair ties
-extra pair of shoes
-cardigan

Essential warm weather shoes!

Flip flops: Ah..I love flip flops. They are not just the ugly rubber ones now, but there are so many different versions; bows, bling, animal print, etc. I would keep there to casual outfits but they are super comfy!

Flat sandals: Embellished sandals are super in and are very eye catching. They are great for dressy and casual days.

Wedges: I usually use wedges for more dressy occasions, but ones with adorable prints are still in. I have seen some street style with ribbons that go up to above the ankle that have a different twist.

Dressy sneakers: My favorites from the fall through winter can now be used for the spring! Sneakers like these are soooo great because they extra comfy and super cute!

Espadrilles: These are great for casual days with any bottoms! They bring a European, old world vibe to any outfit.

Ballet flats: Carry you bright colored flats from the fall to these warmer seasons! They can be paired with shorts for a tailored look.

Nail Summer Trends

Hey there!

So....2013 summer nail trends?
I've paid a lot of attention to my nails for the past few months and have had them painted and tamed this whole time! (Secret: others judge if you have chipped, messy nails..I've learned;) ) The summer is coming up and that means bright, fun colors! Here are some awesome colors that have been seen on the runway and will defintely make it on the street...if they havent already!
